Why The Full Shebang?

This little old blog started when I started thinking...

I was bored in my MBA class

I didn't feel like listening

It all began as a love affair with the written word and the design that went along with.

Here's the thing:

I love writing
&
I love design

When you think about the two, the harmoniously go hand in hand. They are two peas in a pod. It's like Ying and Yang.

Have you ever stumbled upon a website, and you think, "Wow, that design's site is ah-may-zing, but the content is pretty crappy?"

Or "Man, they have really got some sexy content, but whoo-eeee, what is UP with that website? Hello! Al Gore called, and he wants he website back!"

Admittedly, that has happened to me more than a couple of times, and it makes me sad. It makes me want to crawl into a little hole and cry myself to sleep.

A Diamond in the Ruff

Great content and a beautiful website is something that is getting harder to find. Wouldn't it be the opposite? With so many SEO firms and optimization knowledge floating around, one would think that website design and content would be nearly perfect in even the far reaches of the internets. But alas, this is not so my friends.

There are great sites like Men with Pens and SEO Copywriting. Listen up--these are the big boys of the the content world. However, what about little shmucks like us? The little guys who don't have thousands of dollars for website design or $20 bucks to hand over for  a measly 100 words of content.

Let's Get It Wrong

This is where The Full Shebang is different. Small businesses are the ones that have kept the economy running. Small businesses literally make up the economy of the United States, and they are the ones that are bringing the economy back!

So here's to helping the little guy out. The little guy who doesn't have the resources for a beautiful website, but has the desire to learn. A small business who doesn't have hundreds of writers from the Ivy-League schools, but wants to have quality content on their site.

We are here, rooting for the little guys.
